Dear ICoEV 2020 Presenters, Session Chairs and Participants

Thank you for your contributions to the ICoEV 2020 – we are ready to go. Can we ask the presenters to  check the programme carefully as some last minute changes have been made. Please get in touch immediately if the allocated slot is not suitable? Below a few points explaining the moduli operandi for the conference are given.

Best wishes

ICoEV 2020 Organisers

  1. The Zoom connections to relevant sessions are given at the top of each session. Make sure you have the Zoom software installed so you can connect effectively. Please connect to the session you are contributing or participating at least 5 minutes before the session starts.
  2. All participants apart from the session chairs and presenters are asked to mute their microphones and switch off their videos during the presentations.  After each session there will be a couple of minutes to switch on cameras and microphones to interact with each other.
  3. All presentations will be played from videos prepared by presenters. This will be done by organisers to minimize transmission problems and keep the time. However, the presenters should be on standby with their presentation ready to go online if necessary. Also, the presenters will come live in the Q&A just after their presentations.
  4. The session chairs should briefly introduce presenters, moderate the discussions after presentations and strictly adhere to the timetable.  The session chairs will be supported by the organisers to ensure this will happen :).

Dear Participants of eICoEV 2020

A draft programme of the conference is online now and you can view at https://icoev.org/onewebmedia/Copy%20of%20ICoEV2020_Programme_draft5A.pdfAs you can see 3 full days of exciting talks, so we should have a lot of fun before Christmas.

Can I ask the presenters to check the allocated slots, their names and the titles? Putting my editorial hat on, I taken a liberty to slightly modify some titles to be sharper and most importantly shorter :) . To run smoothly, all talks should be prerecorded showing the presentation and the presenter (you can use Zoom platform for this) and their duration should be shorter by the time for Q&As (presentations should be no longer than 35, 16 and 8 mins). We will be sending instructions how to upload the presentations soon.

With best wishes

Dear Colleagues

We hope you and your family have been well.

As you have certainly heard the UK is not doing too well in controlling COVID-19 and it will take a long time to bring some sort of normality.

Last week the Steering Committee of ICoEV 2020 has met and we have decided to postpone the ‘physical’ conference in Aberdeen to August 2022.

We are also exploring a possibility holding a virtual later this year, so please regularly visit the ICoEV website, https://www.icoev.org/icoev2020/index.html

We are sorry for not being able to meet in person this year, but until the vaccine is developed and widely available, we need to keep the social distancing.

Best wishes
